Happy New Year! We’re glad 2015 is here after a busy 2014 at Bunter Spring Winery. While it’s been a little quiet here on the website, behind the scenes, things have been happening!
New Releases! Our new releases are now available – you can find them at “Our Wines” page on the website. These include the long-awaited 2012 Bunter “Natur” Estate Syrah , as well as a 2012 Primitivo, both from Napa.
Our Move to the Monterey Region. While our current offerings are from Napa, just before the 2014 harvest we moved the majority of our wine production from Napa to the Monterey region. While we still maintain our relationships and our estate Syrah vineyard and production in Napa, the move is allowing us to produce wines from the Santa Cruz, Monterey and Paso Robles AVAs. We’re excited about our new Central Coast wines, and while you will need to wait a bit for the reds, we should be bottling our 2014 Sauvignon Blanc from Santa Cruz early this Spring!
New Tasting Room! A final bit of excitement is that in 2015 we are moving to a new tasting room in Carmel Valley! Along with two other wineries who are part of the Winemakers’ Studios, we will be opening a tasting room at 9 Del Fino Place in Carmel Valley just next door to a number of other cafes and tasting rooms. Just turn off Carmel Valley Road at Pilot Road or Village Drive and we will be there! The construction is underway, and permits are pending, but we expect to be opening by the first week of February.
